Video: Is your helmet safe enough?

Helmet safety. It ain’t sexy, but if you’ve ever experienced a hard hit to the head or you’ve got a mate who’s suffered concussion (or worse, a brain injury) from mountain biking, you’ll know just how important it is to wear a skid-lid whenever you take to the trail or road. We introduced you to the Koroyd brand during our recent coverage at PressCamp 2016, where they took us through the ins and outs of their technology and the benefits it provides helmets such as the the brand new Smith Rover. Now, Koroyd are ready to unveil their biggest and most ambitious campaign yet.

In Australia, we’re all too familiar with frustrating helmet standards. According to many of the companies we’ve spoken with overseas, it’s certainly a frustrating (and expensive) process trying to get Aussie certification on a helmet that is already regarded as safe by European and US standards. All of that aside, Koroyd is going further by stating that all current safety standards don’t actually limit rider risk sufficiently. Interested to see why Koroyd believe current global bicycle helmet standards are lacking?
