The Shimano video competition

Do you want to win a brand new bike, setup like the Trek Remedy ridden by Enduro National Champ Chris Panozzo? Shimano Australia and AMB want to help you get on a new bike setup with a Shimano XT Di2 M8050, Fox suspension and Bontrager parts. And we want to send you to Finale Ligure for the final round of the Enduro World Series (EWS) to ride with Chris and shoot a video. The Shimano Video Competition is the most exciting competition AMB has ever put on for you – our readers!

You just need to shoot and edit a video under the theme “This is my mountain bike life” that truly captures what you like best about mountain biking – be it trails, people, travel, racing, relaxing – that’s up to you. Submit your videos directly to AMB and we’ll upload it in one of 3 rounds of voting, before a final round for the finalists.

YOUR VIDEO FOR THE SHIMANO VIDEO COMPETITION

We need you to send us a download link for a 90-120 second video, that features one Shimano product and opens and closes with the competition banner seen below – just save it from here or email us and we’ll send you the full sized version. Your video needs to be filmed in 1080p bit rate and 1080p HD resolution, with compression in line with Vimeo’s guidelines.

Submit your videos via a file sharing service to amb@nextmedia.com.au. Entries will be aired on AMB’s Vimeo account, and the three most popular videos go through to the final.

You cannot enter the same video twice, but you can enter more than one video. The final will be decided 50% by views and popularity, and 50% by editorial choice. Videos on any AMB account are subject to copyright laws, so make sure any music you use is rights free.

Competition is open to Australian residents only. Starts 00.01 AEST 7 April, 2016 and ends 23:59 AEST 18th July, 2016. Prize is for one winner only, and the winner must have a passport valid until at least June 2017. Flights are return economy from Sydney - it is the winner’s responsibility to get to Sydney International Airport. Flights are booked for a departure on September 25th, 2016. The winner will have seven nights accommodation and transfer from Milan airport provided within the prize. Travel insurance for the entire trip is the responsibility of the winner. This is a game of skill and entrants must shoot and edit a video 90-120 seconds long: “This is my mountain bike life” with the above opening and closing screen shots, and must feature a Shimano product. The three most popular videos via views from the AMB Vimeo account from each round will progress to the final. The final winner will receive one Trek Remedy with Fox Suspension, Bontrager and Shimano parts, plus the above flight to Italy and accommodation for the EWS race in Finale Ligure. Total prize pool value approximately $15000. Entries will be judged on 2 August, 2016 at nextmedia Level 6, 207 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065.
