Merida launch carbon 120 trail bike
The Merida 120 has been upgraded for 2016 - with a new carbon main frame, using the same technology as the new Ninety Six.
While the gathered industry types were shown the amazing new Merida Ninety Six at Albstadt last week, there was also a bit more going on with their range of trail bikes. We had a Merida 120 to test last year – it was a great progression for the brand with their jump into 27.5″ wheeled trail bikes.
For 2016 there are two new carbon models in the line up. The Merida 120 7.8000 is running a RockShox Pike with a SRAM Xo1/X1 mix, and some sweet DT Swiss M1700 wheels. The main trinagle is carbon fibre, with internal cabling that will fit Di2, brake and shifter cables or hoses. It makes for a very neat setup.
The 120 7.7000 runs the new SHimano M8000 in a 2×11 setup, and uses Sun Ringle wheels and a RockShox Revelation (with lock out).
