FIRST LOOK: Liv/Giant Intrigue
For Issue 147 we have a few all-mountain bikes on test, including the Intrigue from Liv/Giant. It blurs the lines between trail and all-mountain - but the value of the bike is clear!
The blue beauty arrived at the AMB offices soon after the Giant Trance X 2 we tested on Issue 146 left. A quick scan of the components and geometry shows a lot of similarity – but some key differences. It still boasts the same travel, but the 3F principle (Fit, Form and Function) has helped tailor the bike to the women’s market, with an XS, Small and Medium available.
With an internal dropper post, quality RockShox suspension, a neat finish and even ISCG chain guide mounts – is this $2799 bike a perfect entry point for ladies after a harder hitting bike?
The Intrigue runs a 2×10 Shimano drivetrain, and the design really spans the trail to all-mountain spectrum. Stay tuned for our full test in Issue 147, out in early April.
