We know changing to a better set of wheels makes a difference to performance and American Classic have a really good value tubeless option. The Wide Lightning is appropriate for XC and Trail use with 32 14/15 gauge spokes in a 3 cross pattern, and they come with tubeless tape and valves out of the box.
The hubs run on sealed cartridge bearings suitable for 6 bolt rotors, and can be ordered in standard QR or QR15 front. The whole set is 1569grams which could be close to half a kilo lighter than the wheels a mid range 29er might come with. Add tubeless compatability to the mix, and an attractive price and these are worth looking at.
