The RockShox Reverb AXS is a stalwart in the brand’s lineup. First launched in 2019, the RockShox Reverb AXS put wireless dropper posts on the map, and dispelled any reservations about what a wireless dropper post could do.

In the years since its initial release we have seen many other players launch into the world of wireless droppers, including the Fox Transfer Neo, the KS Lev Circuit as well as the TranzX EDP01 wireless post.

Fast forward six years and the Reverb AXS is due a refresh, and the new 2026 Reverb AXS is a big shakeup.

Wireless Integration & AXS Ecosystem

The RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post is fully integrated into SRAM’s AXS ecosystem, eliminating cables and mechanical levers in favour of seamless wireless operation. It retains the same AXS battery system as its predecessor and SRAM’s drivetrains, enabling interchangeability and reducing obsolescence. The electronic module and battery location has shifted from its previous location under the seatclamp, to the lower tube.

Riders can customise the Reverb AXS’s dropper activation via the SRAM AXS app, assigning any button on their controller to operate the post. With no hoses or routing required, installation is tool-free aside from saddle adjustments, making setup efficient and clean.

Air-Over-Air System & ActiveRide Technology

At the core of the RockShox Reverb AXS is its air-over-air internal system, replacing hydraulic actuation with a sealed air chamber for reduced maintenance and improved reliability. The air spring design allows precise modulation, eliminating traditional mechanical resistance while maintaining consistent return speed and pressure balance.

ActiveRide technology introduces an adaptive compliance feature when the post is dropped at any level. By dynamically balancing the positive and negative air chambers, ActiveRide provides a level of suspension in the dropped position, enhancing traction and stability on technical terrain. This is especially beneficial for e-bikers and technical climb lovers that live to tackle steep climbs.

Construction & Durability

The RockShox Reverb AXS post body features an optimised head design to improve battery clearance. Designed for longevity, the post requires routine lubrication every 300 hours of ride time, with a dedicated service kit available for a two-year maintenance cycle. Key components – including the upper tubes, piston assembly, seat clamp, and electronic module – are replaceable, ensuring the RockShox Reverb AXS is around for an extended lifetime tackling gnarly trails.

Dropper Travel & Compatibility

The RockShox Reverb AXS is available in multiple travel lengths ranging from 100mm to 250mm, adjustable in 25mm increments. This allows for precise fitment across different rider sizes and frame geometries.
