“We’d just spent a day at the trails – it’s sort of a secret location in Sydney – and this is Tom Wrigley who was doing some seatgrabs and I managed to get a photo of him.

“I think this was taken last August and I wasn’t super good at taking photos at that time, so I was super-stoked the way it came out – it was probably my best ever photograph at that time.

“When I was a kid I used to do stuff on GoPro cameras and it’s just progressed from there. This picture was taken with a Nikon D7000 and a Samyang 8mm fisheye lens.

“I’m pretty much self-taught in terms of photography, but I’ve also been getting some good advice from other people.

“I’ve just finished school and have been doing a gap year. I’ve done a bit of travelling and went to the Fort William World Cup round which was sick and also got some good photos there as well.”
