Bike Check: Darcy Coutts Kona Operator CR
Darcy Coutts is ready to rip at the AusCycling MTB National Championships - and here's a look at his Kona Operator CR.
The Downhill crew at Maydena Bike Park are riding on a high. Not only has the 2021 AusCycling MTB National Championships landed in a gravity park – the trail crews have delivered a course that by all accounts is one of the best ever! At least according to Kye Hore anyway.
Darcy Coutts is 21, from Ballarat, and he is here in Tasmania racing Downhill in Elite Men. And that is a stacked category, and has been for over 20 years. Australia has a pedigree in Downhill the belies the size of our nation and our remote location compared to the hotbed of European racing.
Darcy is supported by Kona Bikes Australia, along with Schwalbe Australia for tyres, DT Swiss Australia for wheels, Deity, SRAM, Reckless Race Concepts, Krush and Bikes on Latreobe. Any bike racer's best support is typically a bike shop. They're the problem solvers.
