The date and location of the 2020 Oceania Mountain Bike Championship has been set with the town of Dunedin, New Zealand, hosting the event on January 24-25. The Oceania Championship is one of the best opportunities for Oceania riders to gain valuable UCI points and fight to be Oceania Champion.

Dunedin is on the South Island of New Zealand in the Otago region and last held the Oceania Championship in 2018. The provisional schedule sees the cross-country race being held on Friday (24th) with the DH on Saturday (25th) as the New Zealand National Championships for XC and DH will be run on the Sunday (26th). The double header race format was seen in Australia in 2019 with Aussie riders holding mixed feelings about racing two championship events only days apart. Although the Australian format ran the National Championships and then the Oceania Championships a few days later.

The races will take in the trails of Signal Hill in Dunedin.
