Bike Check: Andreane Lanthier Nadeau's Rocky Mountain Instinct

The final round of the EWS is in Zermatt, Switzerland. Here's how ALN on the Rocky Mountain/Race Face Enduro Team has her bike set up.

Andreane Lanthier Nadeau (known as ALN) is one of the 3-rider strong Rocky Mountain/Race Face Enduro Team. And as she is sitting 3rd on the Enduro World Series rankings, she's doing damn well in 2019.

The team rides Rocky Mountain Instincts, with Shimano XTR M9100 12-speed group sets, RaceFace wheels, bars and stems (and dropper levers) and Fox Factory suspension and dropper.

Maxxis takes care of the tyres, and they have CushCore inside. Interestingly, ALN runs an XC CushCore up front and a CushCore Pro in the back. The team mechanics said that as she has regained strength after a pretty nasty wrist injury she has upped her tyre pressure as well, being able to push the bike a lot harder on the intense EWS stages. Sitting 3rd in the series is pretty rock solid proof that she's pushing herself and her bike hard!

Wheels are Race Face Turbine R, with a 30mm internal width for the alloy rim, with an offset spoke bed for even spoke tension.

OneUp tools are very common – but this plate holder is nifty!

There was certainly no crazy spec going on with this Rocky Mountain Instinct, with no major changes for the race in Zermatt. The bars are a little higher given the steep terrain, but otherwise it's a case of not playing around with much. Consistency is key and by the looks of the season it's working.
