EWS Bike Check: Max Chapuis' Specialized Enduro
The 2020 Specialized Enduro was built for Enduro racing - and that's exactly how Max Chapuis has his set in Zermatt.
The Specialized Enduro for 2020 was released to be an all-out Enduro race bike. Not something for tooling around on your local trails, but an all-carbon, big wheeled, big travel long and slack bike for ruling enduro stages.
So it's not surprise to see three immaculate Enduros lined up in the pits at Zermatt for the Specialized Factory Raceing Enduro Team for the final round of the 2019 Enduro World Series. The stages here are fast and steep without a shortage of rock, from slabs up high to loose chunder lower down. The sort of place where the Enduro is at ease.
We took a look over Max Chapuis' Enduro – the Swiss rider is currently ranked 15th coming into his 'home' round – we're keen to see where he ends up.
There isn't anything too wild going on here – the tyres are stock models you and I can buy, the wheels are alloy, and of course there is CushCore.
