EWS Derby - the Juliana ride
The festivities have begun at Derby for the Shimano Tasmania Enduro - but before the racing, rides like the Juliana ride are taking place, connecting local and international women who shred.

Juliana bikes and the Enduro World Series have joined together this year to put on a bunch of Women's rides at 5 rounds of the EWS. Completely free and separate from the racing it’s just a social ride helping to connect and support women locally and internationally.
With Sram Juliana Pro Team Ambassador Anka Martin as the lead rider, she brings years of experience both racing downhill, enduro and pushing her limits in adventure biking. Tasmanian local Jac Schapel from the Australiam Lusty Juliana team also made the trip up from Hobart to help support the ladies.
With over 20 riders enjoying themselves on the 18km Blue Teir descent, it was a great morning riding mountain bikes in perfect autumn weather. With amazing help from Vertigo shuttles and Weldbrough everyone had a blast. Most agreed every ride should end with morning tea and champagne.
Check out the little gallery and see what you all missed out on. All you can do is get to one fo the supported rounds or hope and pray, both the EWS and the Juliana rides come back to Australia soon.
Anka Martin also runs Ride House Martin. If you need a women's riding and yoga escape – look no further.
