Mt Buller’s upcoming EPIC trail development has received a massive financial boost from the Victorian state government.

Member for Benalla, Bill Sykes, on behalf of Deputy Premier Peter Ryan, recently announced the government is going to provide $375,000 for the project.

The Mt Buller-Mt Stirling EPIC Mountain Bike Trail Project –a joint partnership between the resort itself, the Australian Alps National Landscape Committee Inc and the federal government’s T-QUAL Strategic Tourism Investments Grants program – is set to become Australia’s first International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) EPIC mountain bike trail.

This trail, when construction is complete, will run for 40.39km, through some spectacular High Country terrain. The trail construction is scheduled to begin in December 2013.
