Two of cycling's iconic brands, RaceFace and Easton, have a new home in Australia as they have been welcomed under the Sola Sport umbrella. Joining global brands such as Bianchi, Fox, Marzocchi and of course homegrown brands Netti and Cinettica alongside the Australian servicing for Bosch e-bike systems.

Fox Factory acquired the Race Face and Easton Brands in December 2014 and had this to say: "This transaction demonstrates the execution of our strategic initiatives to increase Fox's product penetration into both existing and adjacent product categories to help drive bike sales and profitability long-term. We look forward to leveraging our global marketing, engineering, distribution and supply chain resources to collectively develop next-generation, high-performance bicycle ride dynamics solutions.”

Chris Tutton, who owned Race Face and Easton Cycling, said "Fox is the perfect fit for Race Face/Easton. All three brands complement each other with our distinct high-performance product lines. The added operations, marketing and engineering support from Fox will allow us to innovate faster while remaining focused on our core businesses."

While both brands have been available in Australia before, Sola Sport will be importing the RaceFace wheel range. There's an impressive line up of wheels, from alloy to carbon, and wide and wider. Easton will mostly focus on cyclocross, gravel and road parts.

Alongside wheels, crank sets, bars, stems, seatposts, chainrings and more from the two brands, Sola Sport will be adding their high level customer support to the two brands. We're hoping to get onto some of the new RaceFace wheels this summer, to see how they fit the modern demands of an Australian mountain biker.
