FIRST LOOK: BMC Fourstroke FS01

BMC have found a new home in Australia with Advance Traders. The Swiss company have a high end mountain bike and road offering – and our first tastes of the 2016 bikes will be based around their XC range, with the Fourstroke dual suspension bike and Teamelite hardtail – or soft tail, which might be more accurate!

We had a Fourstroke FS01 to play with while in Switzerland, as BMC sent us the XX1 equipped model to play with. The frame is the same as those used by Absalon and the BMC mountain bike team just without the full XTR Di1 setup and electronic lockout on the Fox suspension…

The twin lockout switch looks after the front and rear suspension.

What we did have was a light, nimble XC focused 100mm travel 29er, with internal routing for a stealth dropper, and a very efficient suspension platform.

DT wheels set the Swiss theme up nicely.
