Orbea have given their Occam range a facelift, which is the second time they have done so. While Wil Barrett had some time aboard the new Occam while in Utah, we had an Orbea Occam TR M30 to play with in late spring and summer. Orbea have moved to making the Occam range somewhat size-specific in terms of wheel sizes. Our medium TR comes with 29″ wheels, although you could get a medium AM with 27.5″ wheels that trades wheel size for some extra travel. Smaller sizes follow the same trend, and larger sizes are in the TR variety.

Orbea’s engineers have manipulated the geometry to keep the ride characteristics the same across the AM and TR models – they just want you to have a bike you can ride all day. With a full carbon frame, Boost spacing and a 2×10 group set – it ticks a lot of boxes for versatility.
