A one-stop shop for mountain bike suspension servicing and custom tuning, the Mountain Bike Suspension Centre launched its website to the Australian mountain biking public and retail stores this week.

The company aims to provide easy, efficient access to suspension service, repair and performance-enhancement, for both riders and their local bike shop. While the new workshop is located in Stanmore, in Sydney’s inner-west, most customers will take advantage of the Mountain Bike Suspension Centre’s innovative online booking process and quick, nation-wide turn around times.

Riders and bike shop staff can follow intuitive prompts to book in their front and rear suspension, and dropper seatposts, via a simple 5-step process. After posting their parts, customers can expect a quick turn around on servicing and email notification when it’s done. Free return freight is offered Australia-wide on most services.

The website is designed to work on desktop, tablet and mobile devices making it easy to book in your parts from home, the office or the trail.

Meet The Proffessionals

Directed by Simon Glanville and Lachlan Walden, the Mountain Bike Suspension Centre specialises in Fox, RockShox and Cane Creek with servicing for other brands available on request.

“We started this business for two reasons,” said Walden. “Firstly, we genuinely love mountain bike suspension and, second of all, we feel there is a need for this type of service.

“Riders want to know that there is a place where they can send their suspension to be worked on by specialist technicians with years of experience and an understanding that you want your bike working again by the weekend.”

Both Glanville and Walden have university backgrounds in engineering and mechanical design, and have each worked in the bike industry for over ten years specialising in suspension.

Prior to starting the Mountain Bike Suspension Centre, Glanville worked as the Brand Manager at Fox Australia for three years, and as a Fox technician for two years before that.

Walden has worked inside and outside of the bike industry in accounts, website and industrial design. He has also worked for Fox Australia, following the brand across two Australian distribution centres.

“The Mountain Bike Suspension Centre is seven years in the making,” said Glanville, who has an industry-wide reputation for custom-tuning suspension in ways that maximise a rider’s performance and experience on the bike.

“I’ve always dreamt of opening my own shop and providing people with a service that’s better than what they can access through the traditional model.

“I am always blown away by how much riders can spend on a bike but never get the full experience from it. Proper set-up, maintenance and tuning can help turn an average ride into something that is truly special”.

“With this new workshop, and our online booking system, we’re able to work directly with riders to get their desired set up.”
