The Victorian Downhill Series will hit Mt Buller on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 January for two days of downhill action on Mt Buller’s famed trail, International.

Hosted by Bike Buller and the Mansfield Mt Buller Cycling Club, the Victorian Downhill Series (VDHS) is a five race series dedicated to showcasing Victoria’s premiere downhill mountain bike riders and putting them to the test on some of the Australia’s toughest downhill trails. The event is supported by the Victorian Downhill Series (VDHS) committee and the competition will see in excess of 200 riders compete in 2016.

Round three of the series will take place at Mt Buller on the acclaimed International track, which is easily the resort’s most difficult and a long-time favourite of riders. The track is over two kilometres in length and sees riders descend a total elevation of over 250 metres. The challenging downhill course contains numerous rock gardens, timber man-made features, wall rides, step downs and even a road gap, which promised to give spectators plenty of adrenaline-filled action over the weekend.

Practice will take place on Saturday 23 January and the morning of Sunday 24 January, with racing commencing late Sunday morning which will see riders make a single run to place their fastest time down the course.
