The little protein bliss balls are the perfect introduction to making your own portables. Easy, less than 5 ingredients and made in minutes. They’re delicious little bliss balls of goodness with carbohydrates, good fats and protein. Too good to be true. Pop them in your pocket for a day in the saddle and you’ll be asked to share by all your friends.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups dried dates
1 Tbs cacao
2 Tbs protein powder
1/2 cup almonds, chopped
1/2 cup coconut
extra coconut for coating bites
METHOD
1. Roughly chop dates and place in a bowl of boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and place ion food processor.
2. Add cacao, protein powder, almonds and coconut to processor and blitz until combined.
3. Roll protein bites into ball shapes and coat in extra coconut.
This recipe makes approx. 20 protein bites.
