Despite courting controversy in 2012 by claiming “it didn’t really need 650b”, Santa Cruz has launched its  second mid-wheeler in two months.

The mid-weight (2.2kg frame weight) 125mm travel Solo is designed as a lighter-duty, all-day trail bike in the same vein as its 26-inch Blur TR Carbon, and sports internal cable routing, 142x12mm rear axle and twin bottle mounts. It’ll be available in both a frameset and as a

complete bike, in both alloy and carbon fibre.

Santa Cruz is also behind the newly revamped Juliana range of bikes, which also features a couple of 27.5-inch wheeled machines. No word on whether this women-specific range will be made available in Australia.
