CANON - Adventure Photos
“My biggest fear is regret. So I follow my curiosity to the ends of the earth. To capture the fleeting moment, the soul of a place.”
“My biggest fear is regret. So I follow my curiosity to the ends of the earth. To capture the fleeting moment, the soul of a place.”
To celebrate the inspirational personality and sports photography of our newest Canon Master, we sent Krystle and Abraham Joffe of Untitled Film Works on a mission to explore Australia – with our most extreme sports athletes.
Our new film starts atop the vertigo-inducing heights of Mount Wellington deep in the wilds of Hobart, Tasmania as Krystle photographs her friends, rock climbing experts Simon Bischoff and John Fischer, plus the mountain landscape.
From ascending sheer faces to jumping off them, Krystle then takes her Canon 1DX camera canyoneering with Anthony O’Hern and Leon Bedford at Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain – complete with Aquatech underwater photography housing.
Krystle then returns home to Sydney, to go free diving with world vice-champion master diver Yoram Zekri, and then photograph mountain-biking with Chris Southwood.
Finally, she returns to the rocks with Tom Farrell, capturing the art and athleticism of the most simple of action sports: bouldering.
“I’ve an insatiable desire to explore with a camera. Adventure photography is a lifestyle I live and breathe. But, also a passion and obsession.” – Krystle Wright.
