What's new on the Trek Remedy 9.8?
The Trek Remedy got a bit of work done for 2019, with a revised suspension setup and geometry, bringing it right to the front of the all-mountain game.
The Trek Remedy has long been a popular bike in the Trek stable. But you would be correct in thinking that the Slash had overshadowed the Remedy in recent years.
Trek brought a few specific changes to the Remedy for 2019, including getting rid of the Full Floater suspension system. This means the rear shock has a fixed mount in the main triangle.
Trek also moved the seat tube forward, which not only puts you right over the pedals for the inevitable climbs, but it means the Remedy can fit a longer dropper post too. This means you can really get the seat out of the way and let loose!
We set Ryan and Ben to task to put the Remedy through its paces. Both riders have some extensive experience with previous iterations of the bike, and clearly were able to get a lot out of the new Trek Remedy 9.8.
With a SRAM 12-speed GX Eagle group set, carbon Bontrager wheels, and smart frame features like KnockBlock to prevent your bars from smashing your frame – this bike is pretty dialled.
